The following is what I intend to do in the run up the next general election in 2029 and any forthcoming local elections:
Network. Connect with other British Indians like myself who would like to vote for Reform UK. I see Reform as a political party that will work against Labour policies that do not put the British people first. The Conservatives had their chance to prioritise the British during their decade in power but instead I saw a globalist agenda.
I have no allegiance to Reform other than them being a party that provides hope for those born in Britain, raised here, working here and respectful of the country. Reform are gaining momentum and do have some issues to sort out within their party. As they are a big opposition to Labour and the Conservatives, I have chosen to vote for them during the next election, all being well.
I have said that I would like to connect with fellow British Indians because I currently do not know any in Rochdale or in the North West who would consider voting for Reform. There are quite a few commentators that I see online who share the same values as me (preserving and prioritising British culture, society), they are British Indian and British Pakistani like Lubna from Candid with Lubna and Raja Miah. If you like these people, then do send me a message on substack and Facebook.
Local events. I will be taking an interest in local councillors who represent mine and my (English) husband’s values. I’ll know their names, interact with them by email where needed, perhaps even facebook as well. I will take an interest in local meetings.
Open discourse. As I have always done, I will communicate with people as openly as the environment allows and ensure that we have a space where we can exchange views and ideas. Friends may disagree with me but I am willing to listen to them. Online, as with my substack, I may find those who connect because we hold similar views. That is important for the sake of getting together and trying to implement change in society, locally and beyond.
Stay abreast of politics. I will keep informed of changes in Reform that affect their policies and I consider the Social Democrat Party as more than a suitable alternative. In fact I like the SDP, who seem to represent traditional values and people. I would vote for them if they became bigger. If they become the main opposition to Labour and the Conservative Party in 2029, I will vote for them but until then, it looks like it’s going to be Reform.
Write. I will write about Raja Miah’s podcast, Recusant Nine, which he is happy for people to discuss publicly. He knows about the goings on in Oldham, which is a town near to where I live. I have also written about Candid with Lubna’s podcast. She keeps in touch with commentators, politicians and everyday citizens. On her second channel called Evolve with Lubna, she talks to some really well informed and based commentators in India and Pakistan. It is one for the Hindu or Urdu speakers. Luckily, I understand the language enough to keep up with the conversation.
Battle Woke. The woke culture of female and ethnic minority victim mentality is already being taught to young children. We will continue to have discussions around the table as a family and if it gets to the point where my daughter can’t think critically, I will home educate her. She is pretty good at understanding things like there being two sexes (male and female) but her primary school has been showing her episodes from Horrible Histories which does take the satirising of British history too far, to the point of denigrating it. I am invested in her education and I know her curriculum. The day I can’t see her curriculum is the day she gets home educated. (And yes I have thought home education through).
Marches, council meetings, school meetings, oh my! Where there is a will, there is a way. It doesn’t matter how introverted or shy you may be, if I can do it, you can also. I know I can overcome any hurdles and concerns in order to take part in all I have mentioned. The point of the better future ahead will be prioritised.
Keep in touch with me. I will post any updates about the above on substack and facebook. Fellow Brits, keep in touch. British Indians and anyone who shares the same values/goals as what I have outlined above, keep in touch. Fellow substack authors, I will continue to write and read your essays also. Finally, below you see my facebook page, feel free to add me as a friend and message me if you so wish. Thanks for reading.
Respect for your clarity of purpose here Pallavi
The problem with Reform is Farrage and Tice. Both, in my opinion are opportunist, both are profiteers and both have agendas so close to Starma and his edicts its quite scary. They hide behind the facade of Reform, but both openly support much of what labour want. Low and Anderson however, stand apart, truthfully, the only commonality is the party they appear to represent, Reform. Scratch the surface. Mass deportation is a silence, stopping immigration, yes leave ECHR, but both are noncommittal on how to deal with the crisis, they hide behind the "its complicated' argument . Covid Vaccine, neither have view on unexplained deaths and the spike in death below 45. Vaccine injury, they are deathly silent. WHO, Farrage is actually involved, under the guise of reform of the WHO, yet in truth he is as much under the influence of Big Pharma as they are. My view is Reform has a long way to go from any ethnic group position. Whats the real issue or opportunity, in my view its the same as what just happened with Labour, they got in because the Tories were so bad. Are Reform really going to be any better. My view is simple. UKPLC should be run as any business, on a profit and loss basis. We should be self first and others after. Health is wealth and a fully employed population is a wealthy population. We are living in a land where 60% yes 60% of all employed are employed either directly or indirectly by the government. That cannot be right?
