A very simple analogy..
The following perhaps frequently used analogy explains my position on the current state of British politics.
If a guest comes to your house, you know you would not react well to them imposing their rules on you. Rearranging your furniture. Telling you what you ought to do with your home.
Such behaviour would be deemed as bossy and inappropriate. I would apply the same analogy to an immigrant in this country. Whilst I was once defensive, stating I had been living here for longer than those talking about deportation policies, I accept the predicament that Britain faces.
As a guest to this country, albeit one who has a certificate of naturalisation, passport and citizenship (along with being married to an English man and having a daughter here), I understand that I have no claim to this country. I have contributed, much like a paying guest would towards their accommodation but I cannot start imposing myself beyond what is considered appropriate.
The trouble is what is considered appropriate has moved so much to favour the project of dismantling the British state. I am afraid I cannot see the politicians’ plans of the last decades as anything less than a globalist scheme to rid Britain of her soverenity. The people have been subject to a campaign of the most horrific disenfranchisement, including the abuse of their children by foreign men.
When historians and politicians think of themselves as pale, male and stale rather than be proud of their heritage, then I see that it’s no wonder we are in the mess we are in.
I have no fear of anyone and so I continue to express myself how I like. I leave comments on right wing channels, without hijacking spaces meant for the indigenous to be free to say what they want and I expect the odd pushback or comment that goes further. I really don’t care if someone tells me I am to be deported because I know that this their opinion alone. This is why I have never confused Restore policy with the opinions of just some of their supporters.
I am also used to being the outsider even when I don’t consider myself to be that way. Different opinions don’t make people bad or racist or bigoted. I hope that the vestiges of the liberal environment that I grew up in, quick to name call, are disappearing.
Someone has got to do something about their broken and vandalised home. They have got to get the squatters out. They have got to tell their guests to pay their way or leave. Certainly the guests shouldn’t be paid to stay here. They shouldn’t be taking benefits especially when they send them abroad, to their actual home.
I think some of this analogy can also be applied to the current Iran war, or as many are calling it Israel and Trump’s war. I see a lot of criticism directed towards them from the left and also the right. Criticism is good but I would remind people to never forget just how bad the original bullies- the Islamic regime- are.
I think people are complacent in a way those who have experienced Islamic extremism (like Jews, Hindus and in some places Christians) can never be.
I am reminded of the difference between those who virtue signal their friendships with Muslim people and myself as I pass Muslims going to the mosque. The Muslims are all smiles with my husband but all glares when it comes to me, probably because they see me as a Muslim woman who is not covered up.
This will be you one day unless you fight against this, quite possibly like Netanyahu, Trump and Modi are doing. (This deserves its own post another time).
You run the risk of your house no longer being yours.

I’d like to add that I’m not a fan girl of anyone including Trump and the leaders fighting Islamic extremism. They MUST be criticised and I have a lot of sympathy towards regular people suffering consequences of wars. At the same time I urge people to not underestimate the Islamic regime. I believe they must be fought, as ugly as it is looking. I may change my mind on a few things as we progress but so far this is my take.
As as I'm concerned Trump is fighting a war the rest of the world refuses to take on. There will be casualties. Your analogy is entirely correct, I just think Reform is the answer but I respect your view, I know you got there after a lot of thought.
