An epiphany.
Years of reading discourse and listening to conversations, offline and on, will lead to some form of wisdom. Making the same mistakes again and again is a form of madness and stupidity. Here is what I have learned, along with an epiphany I had recently:
Pick your battles. A robust form of ethnonationalism is rising. I have said repeatedly ethnonationalism is not a bad thing but we are at a point where even if you agree with some EthNats, they just laugh in your face and tell you they want rid of you. That is what a significant part of the deportation discourse is about. For some, they focus on illegals. For others, they are angry at those who look or sound foreign. I have listened to the same message time and time again.
So, even though these people are hijacking channels outside of the right wing space of YouTube, why am I arguing with them or their message? Let them express themselves. I am better off keeping out of the way.
This is actually a fight amongst the indigenous for the indigenous. So, I personally would keep out of the way, outside of jotting down a few observations here and there. Plus, everyone is entitled to their opinion. It is the suppression of which, particularly by mainstream media and education that have created angry men and women who don’t care for terms like racist and whatever-phobic anymore.
What is happening now needs to happen. That is my epiphany. We need to be able to come out the other side, whatever will happen next. At best, things will be similar to how they are now. It is a containment exercise. At worst, we will live through increasingly violent times. The focus will be on getting our children out and us oldies keeping safe.
The genie has been let out of the bottle. People are angry because they are awakened to the truth; the lies, treachery, mass scale abuse and they will seek over correction. I am firm in the opinion now that one can try and contain it but anger will always be simmering under the surface. Whether it is years or decades, there will be an explosion. I am sorry. I have to be honest, I am just all too aware of the discourse I read and what I can see in people day to day.
Whatever happens will be our lot to bear in life. The experiment of “multiculturalism” was bound to lead here because I see that without firm boundaries and without good faith politicians, we are doomed to repeat history, with some differences here and there. The concept of multiculturalism is a joke and is naive to human psychology. The battle will always be won by the most aggressive and dominant; fundamentalism and whether that is mainstream or just simmering on the outskirts, it will always exist.
I may have short hair like Mystic Meg and may have annoyed you all with my black pill for Friday but I am speaking as I find. I am not telling you to do anything and that I have given up but I’ve just reframed a lot and picked my battles.
Thanks for reading. I do believe what we are going through, good bad and ugly is what we are meant to go through as humans. I will be watching the political scene to ensure I vote for the right people but as other commentators have said, the battle is not just political.

Just to add;
I agree with candid with Lubna when she talks about a spectrum of ethnonationalism. Some just want their race to not die out. Some go further and discriminate against those outside their race. Some will tip toe around this but ultimately it’s what they want. They don’t think I’m as British as them therefore I have less right to vote etc. Some want me out of this country- Steve Laws. This is important to know rather than a pretence of lovey dovey multiculturalism.
