This conservative voice has been on my radar since I started listening to podcasts on YouTube. Rafe Heydal Mankoo is an incredibly learned historian and articulately made several worthwhile points on Andrew Gold’s Heretics channel.
When he debates someone like Narinder Kaur, an ex big brother contestant who is out of her depth, Rafe absolutely annihilates her and exposes her emotional thinking. The fact is Be Kind, a mentality not just synonymous with activists, has become a state of mind that excuses all sorts of mistakes and silences dissenting voices.
On a separate note but related to this, activist type, Hina Khar, went on Piers Morgan and without answering questions about Pakistan’s role in their latest India/Pakistan war, just kept obfuscating and repeating the same tired rhetoric. “I’m here looking for peace,” she says, donning a white head scarf and dress, in a muted voice addressing Piers Morgan as “Pier.” It all came across as an act and deliberate attempt to silence Pakistan’s various crimes towards India and by Pakistanis towards the west also. It was also an attempt to replace Pakistani’s aggressor image with that of an earth mother. This woman was there to talk about politics but then kept stating how she isn’t a politician. Had she been competent, I would have at least listened as I continue to learn about the India/ Pakistan history and conflict.
Rafe Heydel Mankoo is the antidote to this because when I tune into a discussion around a political issue or one that I want to learn more about, I am seeking answers and explanations. Not, “we all need to be kind to illegal immigrants and that’s that.” I am sorry but based on what Rafe and many others say, I do not buy that these immigrants are so determined to come and work in the UK that they’ll cross rough waters. Rather, when men are coming here and to other places in Europe, it makes me suspicious as to why they aren’t fighting in their own countries towards a better future.
Ukrainian women and families came to the UK and I read a few accounts of people’s experiences housing them but the fact is from Somalia. Middle East and Asia (to name a few places), why are fighting age men coming to England in droves? Literally in droves, on buses, being put up in hotels. As a landlord I know that I will be asked to house them and face the prospect of being bribed in order to distract from the fact that my property is going to be severely damaged. (It’s bad enough housing legal immigrants and students who flee before paying the rent..luckily my estate agents have been onto that).
I also don’t buy, as callous as you may call me, any tales illegals and even some legal immigrants spout in order to distract from the truth. Anyone can pretend to be a refugee, join a church (given how lenient and relaxed Christian churches have become) and pretend they are here for good intentions. Those intentions should include working especially if they are a man, rather than taking from the system. Now, sometimes this rhetoric can sound resentful especially when coming from hypocrites on benefits themselves who ought to be assessed for their own legitimacy but continue to denigrate society and all foreigners because they are hateful and ignorant. However, I am coming at this from the angle of wanting a just and fair system in the UK. I don’t like the current one where pensioners are suffering because money is tight, yet said money is spent on illegals, nonsense causes and causes abroad.
In no other country, except America where the recent Democrats advocated for a similarly tyrannical mindset under the guise of care and kindness, would what I have said be considered wrong. All sensible countries and governments look out for their own selves first, as it absolutely should be. Take care of your own house before you look at others. However, as commentators like Rafe have said, the Overton window has shifted to what I would describe in my own words as something that is crazy and self destructive. So then when you have a conservative politician or leader like Donald Trump in America or Nigel Farage in the UK, they are classed as bigots. Why because they want to keep their country in order?
I am still learning more about India and Pakistan and trying to learn about Prime Minister Modhi of India who has also been demonised as an extremist. I know for sure that as the Indian commentators said in the video, Indians aren’t the ones causing trouble abroad. People may not like Indian workers taking their jobs but at least they work and they don’t try and change the law of the country. Some Indian politicians may well bring their own biases and agendas into parliament, which I don’t agree with but it is nowhere near as bad as how our main institutions have been captured and run over the past decades. Several of these have been responsible for the grooming gangs coverup by silencing the victims of the rapists and manipulating the public.
I would love to see Rafe Heydel Mankoo in politics but as a historian, he is always fascinating to listen to and explains his points about immigration, about genuine refugees, about Woke, about Islamist and other threats incredibly well. In a better, more sensible world, children would listen to him in history lessons (instead of the increasingly Woke infected Horrible Histories). Rafe is a great mind and that is sorely needed right now when we have emotional manipulators like Kaur, Hina Khar and many others who have infiltrated systems and want one rule for them, another for others.
Thanks for reading. I hope to continue to be frank for as long as I can. For me, it’s not a case of letting off steam, I’m not angry, just wanting to write about the actually dangerous mindsets of this world and happy to see antidotes like Rafe.
"Rather, when men are coming here and to other places in Europe, it makes me suspicious as to why they aren’t fighting in their own countries towards a better future."
I frequently ponder this myself. If there's an easy escape route then you don't have to make things work you can just run away. I wonder how our own societies would ever have developed in those circumstances.
