I can't remember ever watching that film although I love the Arthurian legends - will watch! If you liked that, I'm sure you would love the book, The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley. I ripped through that some years ago (must re-read). My favourite piece of art is a sketch by John William Waterhouse, 'The Lady of Shalott looking at Sir Lancelot'. It is owned by Falmouth Art Gallery who have it in the basement out of sight 🤦🏼‍♀️ whilst they display modern tat. (Top of the list if I ever win the lottery - note to self: buy a lottery ticket). The painting was inspired by the Tennyson poem, The Lady of Shalott - also brilliant.

The link is the free (but advert riddled) version. There’s also many clips on YouTube.

Thanks so much, I’ll have a look at the recommended book and the painting. I watched Excalibur on here but then loved it so much I bought it on Amazon

https://www.tokyvideo.com/video/excalibur-1981. There’s no hassle of adverts when watching Excalibur on there.

There's a beautiful song I found on YouTube a few years back called 'Mordred's Lullaby' inspired by Arthur and Morgan. I can't remember the artist, but it's worth a listen if you can find it. 😊

If you're ever in Ireland be sure to visit Cahir castle where some important scenes were shot ..then cross the road to Morrissey's pub where you can see displayed a battered breastplate/helmet from the film signed by cast and crew!

I'm guessing there were mighty sessions in that pub forty-five years ago when it was filmed..
